I'm just glad August is bout over... I'm glad the kids are back in school, I like for them to have a routine. I had an okay birthday month, I met up with a few of my old high school friends, one i haven't seen in 20 years! are you kidding me, Shane you must be a freakin' vampire because you look exactly the same! there were a hand full of us that were great friends who drifted apart and now are finally regaining contact via the almighty computer... and wouldn't you know it, I have a new project... this might surprise a lot of you, but ironically enough I am the one who has all the old high school pictures of all my friends... yes, i was that lame girl who made all her friends put on sunglasses and sit on scooters in front of the "scooter store" like Devo, get it? and put on fur coats in Neiman Marcus' dressing room... so lame! I know its hard to imagine me with a Polaroid strap wrapped around my neck, but it was there pretty much my entire high school existence {a gift from my Dad, or Grandpa Bob... thanx guys, who knew?} anywho, that's my new project, to locate all those pictures and scan them, then email them out to all my old friends.. don't worry... I'm totally on that guys! I might even post a few...

As for the picture above...I had a couple things happen that really threw me for a loop this month mostly having to do with my BFFs i mentioned in my birthday post... one had a tragic death in the family another might be moving soon {to the east coast} and that's pretty much all I'm willing to say on those subjects... i still haven't been able to sort things out in my own mind yet... it's just very sad.

Did I mention it's my Birthday Month?

In our house we celebrate birthdays the whole month, not just the one day... Lance came up with that one and needless to say, he didn't have to twist any arms.

I celebrated my 38th birthday {early} with my BFF's Shannon and Donna aka Charlotte and Samantha {for those of you living in a cave for the past decade... those are characters from the HBO series "sex and the city"} anyone who knows me and knows the show would probably have already figured out my oh so obvious roll of Carrie Bradshaw... Tuesdee, our "Miranda" {she's actually more of a Martha Stewart, than Miranda is, but... oh well, we also call her "Bree" you "Desperate Housewives" fans can relate now right?} was not able to make it this time but since she has a good excuse, i guess I'll forgive her. This time.

Yeah we are total dorks, but i don't care I am just so happy to have these 3 beautiful, strong, supportive, hilarious friends in my life for the past 13 years, I really can't imagine my life without them. It seems like not long ago they were planning my baby shower for Remy {who is now going to be 11 years old next month} and we just watched Tuesdee's oldest graduate last year. Seriously time goes by so fast, I'm just glad that I have these wonderful woman to share it with.

I must just have a young soul or something because seriously, I don't feel like I'm pushin' 40! whether it's my kids, my husband or my friends that keep me young at heart {or maybe I'm just in denial} whatever the case I plan on holding on to my "youth" for a very long time.. I've heard botox helps. At this point I'm not ruling anything out.
In other words, it's going to be a long time before you see me compare my friends to "the golden girls" rather then the "Desperate Housewives" or the "Sex and the City" girls, but when i do... I'm guessing Donna will be Blanche and i will probably be Rose. Awh what the heck, who am i kidding Tuesdee is totally Bea Aurthur's character and Shannon is the funny old chick,
you know, the short wrinkly one. I forget her name?

They are so gonna hate me for that, but luckily they'll get over it. I love your guts guys!

I have great friends, an awesome family, wonderful kids, a husband who loves and adores me despite all my flaws, what more could I ask for? I guess just cash...lol

{Finally!!!}

Well the release of breaking Dawn is the perfect start to My Birthday Month!
My friends and I all had "Team Edward" shirts made for the book release parties... and I must say, they were a big hit! We started out going to the Barnes and Noble party, there were a ton of people there, it was a lot of running around looking for the trivia questions, between our group we knew a lot of the answers, but there were some that stumped us all and we had to look it up... that was pretty fun, but for the most part the rest was pretty lame... they had a costume contest, so a lot of people were dressed up as their favorite characters { it was kinda like a star wars convention} we had our picture taken with this really creepy Edward.. I'm not posting that pic because he creeps me out. I think the funniest thing was this security guard walking around, when Brooke saw him she was like "who's he supposed to be, Charlie?" It was hilarious, so we had a picture taken with him too...

We ended up leaving Barnes and Noble before midnight and going to the little professor... we were to late for anything they were doing but we ended up hanging out and having a ton of fun, we got "bitten" and i found out that my very favorite Teacher in the whole wide world {my 5th Grade teacher} Mrs. Shaw is the owner of the little professor. I had no idea... the kids love that place. guess we are boycotting Barnes and Noble now, gotta support the home team right! so Donna's niece Adrianne and her daughters Brooke and Brandi started a "Team Edward Utah" fan club blog. I put up a link to it they are going to be selling t-shirts like ours there, if anyone wants one of their own... they are pretty HOT and they say "bite me" on the back.

My friend sent me this E-card for the movie premiere and i had to post it, what do you all think of the guy playing EDWARD for the movie... I'm not sure he's HOT enough.. is it just me?

Okay, so it's true I snuck into the backroom at Costco and found the displays of Breaking Dawn they have all set up ready to put out on the floor Saturday morning; just waiting there for me, begging me to pick one up... my heart was pounding i could feel the sweat rolling down my back but I had to do it, I just had to pick one up... don't worry I'm not going to spoil anything {I learned my lesson} I really didn't have much time to read anything more than the "contents" of the book... but seriously, that's enough, all i can say is I cannot wait to sink my teeth into that book come Saturday... I did read a tinsy-tiny-bit more than I'm letting on and the hairs on my arms are standing on end in excitement, but as much as it tortures me to NOT say anything... I'm not going to spoil it for you... All I will say, is that it's going to be heavenly.
we are going to be partying it up "Cullin's style" at Barnes and Noble tomorrow night... if anyone wants to join us...

and FYI if your asking yourself this question, Yes I was the girl who opened all her presents before Christmas, not only did i open all mine but I opened all my brothers and sisters too... and no one was ever the wiser...MUh Ha hA... and i don't even feel bad about it { it's not like i told THEM what they were getting... I really am evil huh}
