Baseball Tonight!

Gabby was asked by her Teacher to sing The National Anthem at a local Roadrunner game with some of her classmates, she did so good we could hear her loud and clear! doesn't hurt she was in "sunset express" all year. now I wish we had a digital camcorder.. I could post the performance!
When we got there Lance was surprised to see Wiki Gonzalez is now on the team.. he used to be a catcher for the Padres (Lances favorite team)
Lance and Remy were also picked to do the Father and Son Challenge at the end of the second inning, Remy hit the ball from first base and Lance was supposed to pick up where the ball landed and hit it over the fence..he was about a foot shy! Dang It!
It was very exciting, Remy was surprised at how far he actually hit the ball. They did a really good job and got free tickets for their next game! not to shabby for a Tuesday night!

{Day Trippers}

So, this was today. it was such a nice day for a drive ... Gabby and I took off with my friend Bryce who is also a photographer we were looking for a specific spot that I have a photo shoot planned, and we ended up finding so much more! I swear between the two of us we must have shot a thousand pictures. Gabby was such a trooper, she really didn't know what was in store for her and it was a very long day, so in alot of the pictures you can tell she was so obviously done with the whole trip, but she hung in there until the sun went down....i swear that girl is made of steel shes practically a supermodel already. when we got home all she wanted was to go to "The Golden Spoon" so of course she got whatever she wanted (2 flavors swirled together with sprinkles..!!) we had such a good day, I love spending time with my Gabby, she is just so easy going she just takes whatever life throws at her and rolls with it, I'm really proud of her she didnt complaine once. we had a lot of fun. I will put up a slide show of some more of my favorite pictures... I wish i could take credit for the silhouette with the bubbles but Bryce is the one who caught that shot... it was the perfect ending to our day.

California Vacations...

Okay well I don't really have anything important to post tonight, we have all been really busy the past couple weeks with work, photography and all the end of the school year testing the kids have... only one week left! We are looking forward to a relaxing summer. Usually Lance and I take the kids to California for summer vacation, we have a lot of friends and family there, so we usually start out in San Diego and stay at Aunt Debbie's and Uncle Bills house (which is the equivalent to a first class hotel...thanx guys!) we visit friends and hit the beach for a few days before heading up to my Dad's house in the Bay Area... the boys always want to go to a ball game, that's probably the only planned thing we do (We've seen the Padres, the A's and the Giants play) otherwise we just play it by ear... we have taken them everywhere from wineries in Napa Valley to Six Flags Marine World/Great America, to Golden Gate Park in San Francisco and Fisherman's Wharf, to shopping on Telegraph St. in Berkeley... we've been to Disneyland and Sea World and of course the beach...We all love Grandpas house the boys like to hang out in the band room and we all love the pool! We always wind down our trip in Bakersfield we stay with our friends Aaron and Shone and hang out with all Lances friends, who he grew up with.... we love you guys! Ahh California

This year is going to be a little different though, I'm going to take the kids out with my Mom, we will probably just go out to my Dads house and visit our family out there, my Grandpa Herb (my Mom's Dad) is getting really old and frail and is suffering from Parkinson's disease, so she really needs to see him. It sure is going to be different not having Lance there on vacation though... I guess that just means we will have to go again soon!
